Purple velvet scrapbook held together with two sets of burnt orange string, tied in bows. Picture on front of scrapbook shows two Korean women, a map of Korea, a pagoda, and a steam. Picture covers most of the front cover, less about a half inch on all sides. Picture is outlined with yellow zigzag ribbon. Inside pages of scrapbook are black cardstock-like material with black corner clasps to hold 4 pictures to a page on each page. Each page also has a sheet of thin paper between it to preserve photos. Contains photos of Bill Robinson's tour of Korea from 1958-1960. Contains Christmas meal menu, black and white photos, letters, and an invitation to a Korean wedding. A good portion of the pictures show interracial interaction, both with military personnel of different nationality, as well as interaction with Korean peoples. Inside cover was signed by many of Bill Robinson's friends. Small Collections L6C Box 15 Folder 16 1958 9th Infantry Division yearbook, Gates Waterloo Business College graduation program (1972), and laminated newspaper clipping featuring William Robinson as a distinguished Gates alumnus. |
